Bears First Program 给s All Students a Chance to Succeed
Meeting 学生 where they are is important for ensuring they feel supported 和 welcomed on campus. 为 many 学生 entering university with a 3.0 or below grade point average (GPA), they have fewer opportunities for financial support for reasons that are frequently out of their control. That is why the 校友 Association Board directed the Sharon G和er 校友 Scholarship to support Bears First 学生, a program to support 学生 entering college with below a 3.0 GPA, after an alumna left part of her estate to UNC.
Women’s Walk 给s a Venue for Student-Athletes to Support Their Fans
Women’s Walk is a fun, family-friendly event where your interactions with student-athletes are just as memorable as the scholarship funds that you help raise. 当你走路的时候 with friends 和 family, UNC’s Division I student-athletes cheer you on, just as you do at all their games. 为 graduate student 和 volleyball setter, Syd Cole, ’23, the community support at her games is one of her favorite parts of being on the team. Returning the support at this year’s 16th Annual Women’s Walk will be another memorable bonding experience for her 和 her teammates, 和 a powerful showing of support for all women’s athletics 项目.

加入 UNC community in celebrating the 2024 Athletic Hall of Fame Class. Savannah Smith, ’19, MBA ’21, of women’s basketball, Jordan Davis, ’19, of men’s basketball, Mariel Gutierrez, ’18, of women's soccer 和 Tom Runnells of baseball are the newly elected members of the 25th class of the Northern Colorado 体育运动 Hall of Fame to be inducted this 9月.
